day 1
Arrive Paro – Thimphu (Elevation of Thimphu- 2,334m)
- Today you will fly to Paro, Bhutan. Experience breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks as you descend into this remote land. The flight into Paro is one of the most spectacular in the world.
- On arrival in Paro, a warm welcome by our representative! Your itinerary has been tailored to remain as flexible as possible. As your guide will be with you throughout your journey, you will be able to discuss your itinerary in advance as per your interest along the journey.
- A 1.5-hour drive away, Thimphu lies in a steep valley at an altitude of 2,334m (7,709ft).

day 2
Thimphu Valley Excursion
- After Breakfast, next visit will be Memorial Stupa: Dwarfing the modern concrete structures in its vicinity, the towering Memorial Stupa is one of the most visible landmarks in Bhutan’s capital. It was built, some 40 years ago, to commemorate the life and times of the Father of Modern Bhutan – Jigme Dorji Wangchuck (the 3rd king).
- Drive to Kuenselphodrang Park where a massive Buddha Statue with 51.5m in height stands atop a hill overlooking the southern approach to Thimphu.
- Lunch at Simply Bhutan
- After a good rest, undertake a pleasant evening hike to Wangditse through the pine woods with the soothing fresh breeze.
- Late in the evening, take a stroll along Thimphu town and Thimphu vegetable market.
- Dinner at Thimphu down town restaurant
- While driving back to Hotel from dinner, stop and enjoy the night view of Majestic illuminated night view of Thimphu fortress/Dzong.

day 3
Thimphu – Punakha (Elevation of Punakha-1,310 m)
- Breakfast at Hotel
- Today begins pretty early as we head towards Punakha, a place once famed as the ancient capital of Bhutan and, even today, houses the national treasures of the Kingdom.
- On the way, make a brief stopover at Dochula Pass with 108 Stupas & then continue driving until the road point which leads you to a pleasant hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple ( 1 ~ 1.5 hrs easy hike )
- Lunch at Chimi lhakhang cafeteria with an impressive view of terraced field and farmhouses.
- Then visit Punakha Dzong, the ancient capital. It is here Bhutan’s Kings are crowned and the head of the Buddhist clergy anointed.
- After the visit to Dzong, walk up to have another adventure through Punakha Suspension Bridge. This is going to be one of the highlights of today’s tour. It is known for the 2nd longest suspension bridge in Bhutan.
- Overnight at a hotel in Punakha.

day 4
Punakha
- Early morning before your breakfast, seize an opportunity to enjoy stunning sunrise from your own veranda overlooking mountains ,verdant pasture and deep river valley.
- After breakfast, embark onto a scenic hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel. A hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel will take you through the beautiful landscapes amidst terraced fields. This Stupa-like-temple stands out beautifully on a hill on the opposite bank of the river, built by the Queen mother. Due to its intricacy and unique architectural designs, it took 8 ~ 10 years to complete.
- Private Picnic lunch by the riverside
- Optional tour: After lunch, you will have plenty of time, so you can alternatively venture into rafting through white river of Punakha ( additional cost apply)

Punakha – Paro en-route Thimphu (Elevation of Paro – 2,195 m)
- After early breakfast, make our way back to Paro via Thimphu. The drive from Punakha to Paro would last around 3.5 hrs.
- Take a real village walk through Rinchengang village and get mesmerized by an authentic encounter with the local village folks; experiencing local way of life.
- Proceed to Paro via Thimphu.
- Lunch in Thimphu downtown restaurant
- To get more connected to nature, add evening walk to Wangditse monastery through the pine woods with chirping sounds of birds.
- Pamper yourself with a nice evening coffee at a café in Thimphu downtown.
- Proceed to Paro for dinner and overnight.
- Overnight at a hotel in Paro.

day 6
Hike to Tiger’s Nest (Elevation of Taktshang – 3,120 m)
- This morning will begin with a hike up to view one of Bhutan’s most revered monuments, the Taktshang Goemba, more commonly referred to as the “Tiger’s Nest”. The four hours(approximately) return trek offers spectacular views of this sacred monastery perched on the cliff faced 900m above the valley floor.
- The balance of the day can be spend browsing shops in town OR
- Drive to Exotic Paro Farmer’s weekend Market:Take a walk around the domestic weekend market for the farmers. It’s one of the popular spots for the tourists and a recreational place for people from allwalks of life displaying wide assortment of fresh, organic produce and artisanal foods. Grab some of your favorite Organic produce from the market to take back home!
- Hot stone bath – Nothing beats a soak into hot-stone bath after an arduous hike to Tiger’s Nest.
- Vegetarian Hot pot will be served as a farewell dinner. Enjoy bonfire and cultural performance at the same time. If the sky is clear, an exceptional beautiful stargazing will be undoubted highlight of your last day in Bhutan.
